A long time ago, I was just a curious Boston University student that wanted to explore business opportunities in Asia. Getting accepted into the Stanford Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies kick-started my career in Tokyo, Japan. My professional career began when I joined Bloomberg and later continued at JPMorgan.
With years of experience managing people, product and strategy, I ventured into the world of startups and co-founded LivinTokyo.com – a platform that connected foreigners with products and services in Tokyo.
After getting bit by the startup bug, I immersed myself in the startup world. I moved to Shanghai, China. I spent my mornings studying Chinese at Fudan University & Jiaotong University, my afternoons consulting brands such as Electrolux, Wrigley, and L’Oreal, and my evenings using these experiences to start my own soap company.
I then was recruited to join Trip.com's International Division team. At Trip.com, I worked on everything from product development to marketing campaigns and strategy for Visa, FIFA World Cup, Shangri-La Hotels, Starwood Hotels, and numerous local businesses.
Concurrently, I was accepted into the Startup Leadership Program (SLP) where I worked on real-life projects with accomplished entrepreneurs. A highlight was organizing a pitch event that connected dozens of seasoned investors and mentors with the SLP Shanghai chapter.
Since then, I became the Group Product Manager at Juwai.com, where I managed product teams and drove the strategy that brought customer delight with real estate products.
Soon after, I co-founded UWAI, where I wore many hats, ranging from product and data to marketing and operations.
Looking for some stabilty I returned to the USA, where I became the Lead Product Manager Twilio for self-service, internationalization, a marketplace, and low code/no code communication solutions.
During my spare time, I advise startups and small businesses on marketing and product strategy. I enjoy attending every entrepreneurship meetup that I can squeeze into my schedule.
I have a propensity for travel, learning languages, and cooking nom food.
